Yeah I got that email too, ordered one right away and received it. Thing is the unit I received did not have the replacement screens :-( Otherwise all good. Very nice tool!! I may even have uses other than cooking :-) I really don't want to hassle with return thru Amazon, but really would like a set of replacement screens. Let's see what happens.

Neither did mine. I contacted Booker & Dax and they explained that they changed the composition of the screens, such that replacement won't likely be required.

Yeah, but still they should change the expectation that you will get a spare screen set. It's just wrong if the product description and the box/packaging is telling you that there is a spare set.

Hey there - We're aware that a batch of our newest Searzalls shipped out in the wrong(old) packaging, and we're really sorry about that. We know it's caused a lot of confusion for our customers. The good news is that the screens you've got are very strong - the rear screen is coated in palladium which makes them much more resistant to oxidization and damage. We'll also be selling these screens separately on Amazon for Searzall owners who have our original screens and want an upgrade. Again, apologies for the misprint on the packaging. -Booker and Dax Lab

Yes I got that notification as well. I ordered same day :-) Make note though they are shipping without spare screens even though box and all materials say they have a set of spares included. I returned and reordered. Second ship came without ANY screens, as in no spare set and none mounted in the head :-( So another reorder was good - glad I have Amazon Prime I'm all fixed now. Like the tool!! I will have other uses for this beyond "just sous vide". This is going to add a new dimension to grilling and BBQ for example. In fact I will probably bring it to tasks beyond cooking in general. I already had the TS8000 head and the extension hose kit. Still recommend/agree with using the squat fat propane bottles though to prevent tipping even though you can hook the bottle to your pocket/belt with the accessory that comes with the extension hose. If you don't have any of those get them (TS8000, better than TS4000).

Hi rbenash - That's really troubling that your second order didn't include any screens, but we're happy the third order worked out. The misprint in the packaging has been corrected, so hopefully we won't be seeing many more of these errors going forward. We're glad you enjoy your Searzall! -Booker and Dax Lab
