Hi, Got a Searzall for christmas, and have used it 3 times now. On this last time it burned through both the screens pretty spectacularly. It has had maybe 10 minutes of use total. I followed the setup instructions as well as I think I could: - Using a Bernzomatic TS-8000 - I used the spacing stick to make sure there was only a 1/8" spacing between the tip of the torch and the searzall - I seasoned it according to the instructions for 2 minutes upside down Even after only the first use, there was a small quarter-sized spot right in the middle of the screens that had started to bow out. Pictures are attached. The only area I deviated from the instructions was with the tank. As part of the christmas gift, my wife included the TS-8000 that was packaged with a yellow MAPP tank. The instructions said not to use that tank but only because of tipping over issues... which... I ignored And just decided to be very careful. Anyway, I still have the 1 set of replacement screens, but before I put them on -- can anyone either provide other ideas for what went wrong, or definitely confirm that the yellow tanks will burn through the screens, and that was the reason? My wife spent a lot of money already on this whole setup, so I don't want to go buy another different tank of gas (the green one) just to have it burn through my last screen again, all for no reason. Thanks!

don't use mapp, it burns at higher temperature than propane, get a coleman or bernzomatic propane camping can and give it a go

There are two things to avoid, from what I've read: tall tanks due to tipping, and MAPP gas because it burns too hot and does precisely what you've observed here.

I did the exact same thing with the exact same results. Don't use MAPP. I switched to a Coleman propane tank with no problem since.
